A common theme I've seen being spread by some is that GamerGate is unfairly portrayed and the SJWs atarted in with the Doxing and cruelty and nastiness and meanness.
I'm sure some of them are sincere.
It'd be kinda cool if all of those sincere folks suddenly realized that, holy crap, attacking *this* kind of academic stuff, is why everyone believes that All GamerGaters are stuck-in-adolescent, whiny, privileged brats who should be put in time-out and then the offense ignored, because even extra chores would give them the attention for which they're asking in such an inappropriate manner.
