supergeeWhen Jefferson Airplane took off, their lead singer was a woman named Signe Toly Anderson. She gave birth after the first album was released and decided that she would rather spend her time being a mommy than a rock & roll star. So the Airplane recruited Grace Slick from a group called the Great Society and found fame & fortune. Signe Toly Anderson died on the same day as Paul Kantner.
