I am very happy not to be looking for dates on the Internet any more. It's a crude, inefficient way to date; you can't really know enough about anyone from an online presence to make a good choice, and you end up meeting lots of bad matches and, I suspect, missing many good ones. Things that are often deal-breakers online might not be if you met the same person in real life, and a lot of real-life deal-breakers aren't visible in an online presence.
I've come to feel that Internet dating is largely a waste of time, whetever be one's gender.
