Yes; one of the issues with that article (which I have read before) is that it makes a false analogy between geography and history. That is, if someone of my age (50s) says "I have seen 'no Blacks, dogs or Irish' signs," that article implies that they must be lying. However, given the fluidity of migration between England, Ireland and the US and how extended families spread across all three, there's a missing dimension.
