It begins, "Science fiction is a very male form of fiction," so of course nothing after that makes sense. Men do things, women have relationships, and real men don't want to read about anything but the former.
I recently admitted that I dreamed of living in the science fiction where machines did all the maintenance. I think these guys wanted the sex done that way too.
