Whaaaaat? That makes no sense at all. Of course I don't watch TV any more, and Battlestar Galactica is one of the shite things I remember that don't make me miss it. But there are droves of women who were inspired in one way or another--including I daresay to careers in science--by Star Trek. And at least one sitting right in this chair who hated DS9 for all the relationship stuff and angsting. And some of us females were reading print SF before watching Star Trek, yes, I am that old. The fact that I don't like being groped at cons doesn't mean I don't exist.
