Second cranky old fart post of the day

I have applied for a passport, bitterly resenting that we now need one for travel to Canada.

Canada used to be just like us, but now it's a Weird Foreign Country with dangerous ideas like legal marijuana, same-sex marriage, and civilized socialized medicine.

And Mexico and the Caribbean. Except the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

Only a matter of time before internal passports, hmmm-hmmmmm. Well, untravelled, provincial people are supposedly easier to rule...

It seems like the faster it is to get from place to place physically, the more bureaucratic impediments they put in place to slow you down - sort of a Planck's Constant of travel.

Well in some ways, it's like here, with a conservative government in denial of its complicity in human rights violations.
