Some very good points

Love is not enough. And I must say I enjoyed the opening paragraph:
In 1967, John Lennon wrote a song called, “All You Need is Love.” He also beat both of his wives, abandoned one of his children, verbally abused his gay Jewish manager with homophobic and anti-semitic slurs, and once had a camera crew film him lying naked in his bed for an entire day.

Let them tell

I assume that some of the people at the American Family Association are sincere about the Lavender Menace. (After all, one can hate and fear Muslims without having a secret or repressed desire to proclaim that there is no god but Allah.) So I wonder: Do these people think gays are some sort of alien monsters (not at all like their coworker and the full-service luggage handler he hired)? The Advocate is doing a series about gay soldiers. This is the enemy: a human being loving another human being.
