If I were running something that tried to sound cool by calling itself DeviantART, I would not insist that participants identify as belonging to one of precisely two sexes. I am, however, awed by this triumph of passive-aggressive denial of agency:
If you do not wish to designate your gender and prefer to deactivate your account due to being forced to make this choice then you may do so if you choose.
