A little kerning is a dangerous thing

Sans serif typefaces tend to run the letters "r" and "n" together to look like an "m." This is known as the John Wamock problem, named after font expert John Warnock. My favorite example is pomo/porno. Today I read about what seemed to be "the horrors of the Modem."
