We’re now hearing that a studio exec suggested Julia Roberts for the title role in the Harriet Tubman biopic. There are two things I find unsurprising about that:

(1) A rich, powerful white guy was enough of an asshole to suggest it.

(2) The studio as a whole was not quite stupid enough to go along with it. [The Grio]

LOL - however, that was a long time ago. It's taken shamefully long to make this film, I hope it;s successful; women always come last.
