The writer presumably knows this, but the bio of her idol is drawing on Wikipedia for its opening and an 8-year-old article in an Irish mag for the fashion and body stuff: "If Gyllenhaal is papped in public, he’s generally in a t-shirt, a check shirt and some casual jeans. On the red carpet he’s rocking a classic fit tux, complementing an athlete's body underneath." (I thought the latter might also be via Wikipedia, but I found neither "checked" nor "squared" in a WikiBlame search, and I don't see any revisions hidden for copyvio. I suppose it could have been "check shirt" on Wikipedia.
