And note the Georgist commentary on that article. I would point out that housing can be a moderately good investment; that is people can legitimately profit from erecting or buying rental housing. What is not compatible with affordable housing is for land to be a good investment. If some people can get rich by unproductive land speculation, other people must be impoverished, at least t9 some degree, by buying land from the dogs in the manger.
