Yeah, I think it's Conway, too. The exact moral character of the anonymous piece seems entirely in keeping with Conway. That valorization of what is unethical behavior, and the complete lack acknowledgment of the consequences of this kind of behavior, the way it dresses up betrayal as bravery. Also, she's an evil snake, and I hate her, so I kind of want it to be her.
Beat me to it, on every point. I assumed it was her, seeing the ship sinking, and so she's trying to wriggle her way into a career change by selling herself as a hero by tossing all her fellow rats under the bus.
