One of the national stereotypes I grew up with was that the hot-blooded Hispanics were such animals that they had to evolve the concept of the duenna, a third person who had to be present because a man left alone with a woman would inevitably rape her. The Rude Pundit, using language as usual, notes that the Republicans consider themselves that sort of hot-blooded animals, or at least think that Mike Pence is one (it’s those beady little eyes!) and are taking precautions.
