Today marks 24 years without drugs.

Facebook can’t face

Jim Wright, as he so often does, wrote an alarmingly sane post about the annual 9/11 hysteria. Facebook banned it, presumably because someone somewhere was offended. Some of us linked to it on Facebook, and mine at least has not been taken down. Here it is, and it’s worth reading even if you don’t want to tell Facebook to go zuck itself.

It has come to this

I have seen no evidence that whatever Russian organization has succeeded SMERSH has managed to wage germ warfare against Hillary Clinton, and I will not believe it until I see indications of means and opportunity as well as motive. I also as yet have no conclusive evidence that Donald Trump’s empire is propped up by the Russian government and/or the Russian mafia (assuming there is a difference), and I will not believe that until he releases his tax records or it is done for him. I conjecture that the Russians have more stolen info and will slip it to the scumbag who wouldn’t wear a scumbag when the time is ripe, and it is possible that our side has similar resources. In fact, I rather hope so. This may be an even worse way of deciding elections that relying on the will of the people, but it’s what we’ve got.
