I seem to remember not getting past the first chapter of Golem¹⁰⁰, but I had to skip a lot of The Computer Connection and then began to be able to trace that badness back through his earlier work. I have only managed to read V and The Crying of Lot 49; Gravity's Rainbow disappeared at some point and was not found even when I packed up to move.
