As Donald Trump and Ted Cruz battle for the Republican nomination, some are still surprised to learn that not all psychopaths are criminals, or at least not all are defined as such. As professional athletes know that if you do it in a bar you get arrested, but if you do it in a stadium you get paid, so government and business alike reward a level of aggressiveness that translates to rape and robbery in one-to-one relations. My two favorite definitions of criminal come from Fritz Perls (an individual who arrogates to himself the privileges of the state) and Howard Scott, the founder of Technocracy (a person with predatory instincts who has not sufficient capital to form a corporation).
